Before retiring in July of last season, Roger Levesque had become one of the most beloved Sounders in franchise history.
He arrived in Seattle in 2003 on loan to the then-minor league Sounders from the MLS San Jose Earthquakes, and thought he’d be with the team for the rest of that season. He stayed for the remainder of his career.
The longtime fan favorite endeared himself to Sounders fans with his hustle, creative goal celebrations and match-winning performances, including the 2009 U.S. Open Cup championship.
Levesque will be available to answer questions about the Sounders-Timbers I-5 rivalry, his playing days in Seattle and more in a live chat March 15 on seattletimes.com.
