The midweek sunshine has faded, and skiers and snowboarders should be prepared to get a bit soaked.
Snowflakes will fall through Saturday in higher elevation areas such as Mount Baker, Stevens Pass and Crystal Mountain, and then change to rain or snow mixed heading into Monday.
The freezing level is forecast to jump from 2,000 to 7,000 feet, so bring rain gear and a towel.
There is a ray of hope that sunny weather will return next week, and a deep and above normal snowpack brought on by late-season snow storms will have folks carving turns well into spring.

Crystal is experiencing abnormal avalanche conditions on places such as Bear Pits, Powder Bowl, High Campbell and Employee Housing that wiped out numerous trees. These slopes will likely be closed for an extended period.
Other avalanche-prone terrain such as Exterminator are closed until the snow pack stabilizes.
Also, stay within the resort’s boundary lines and don’t cross the ropes into uncontrolled areas.
