Idaho Vandals golfer Renee Skidmore has been named women’s player of the year by the Pacific Northwest Golf Association.

Skidmore, a freshman from Everett, won the PNGA Amateur Championship in July before starting school. The Cascade High School product also recorded a second-place finish at the Washington State Golf Association Amateur.

As a collegian, Skidmore finished in the top three in each of her first three tournaments. She was selected as the Big West female golf athlete of the month for September.

“This is a great honor for Renee,” Idaho coach Brad Rickel said. “She is well deserving, and we are very glad that she is a Vandal.”
