Cervante Burrell and Alex Jones lead Redhawks with 15 points apiece

STANFORD, Calif. — Anthony Brown had a double-double — 21 points and 11 rebounds — and Jeremy Green scored 22 to help Stanford to a 77-66 nonconference victory over Seattle University on Tuesday night.

Brown, a freshman, hit 7 of 11 shots from the floor and matched his season high in scoring while recording his first career double-double for Stanford (15-14). Brown’s rebounds, all on the defensive end, also were a season high.

Cervante Burrell and Alex Jones scored 15 points apiece for the Redhawks (11-18), who have lost six of their last nine.

“Our guys competed and played hard tonight,” said SU coach Cameron Dollar. “We could have done a better job of finishing when we got the ball inside.”
