In a year full of big local sports stories, Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson leading the Seahawks to the best record in the NFC, was the biggest, according to voters in The Seattle Times poll.
Wilson leading the Hawks’ run received 31.9 percent of the 3,396 votes, nearly double the next highest vote-getter among the 13 stories.
Finishing second with 16.4 percent was Chris Hansen failing in his bid to land the Sacramento Kings and third was the exit of UW football coach Steve Sarkisian and the arrival of new coach Chris Petersen at 13.9 percent.
