The Seahawks signed receiver Justin Veltung as an undrafted free agent on Thursday. Veltung is a graduate of the University of Idaho and Puyallup High School.

Veltung, 5 feet 10, battled injuries his last two seasons at Idaho but still finished 11th on the school’s career all-purpose yardage list with 2,972 yards.

Veltung participated in Seattle’s rookie minicamp earlier this month on a tryout. He showed good speed with a 4.46-second 40-yard dash and wowed with his 41 ½-inch vertical leap. He can return kicks but joins a crowded field of receivers on the Seahawks’ roster. He has been taking part in this week’s training.
