The left tackle will be a free agent for the first time. "It’s going to be a really interesting experience," he said.
RENTON — Seahawks left tackle Russell Okung said he still intends to represent himself in his pending free-agent negotiations — the first time in his career he will be a free agent.
“Full head of steam on that,’’ he said. “I’m not the first one to do it, and hopefully I’m not the last one, as well. There are a lot of guys in the past who have done it, not many who were in the prime of their career. It’s going to be a really interesting experience.”
“I have to remove myself and ask myself what the truth is about the situation. Once I can do that, I’ll have clarity in what I want and what I think I’m capable of and what I think my value is.”
