Last game: Lost at San Francisco, 32-20.
The series: Arizona leads 15-13, and has won six of the past seven at home. Seattle has won four of the past six overall, including a 58-0 victory at CenturyLink Field last Dec. 9.
The early line: Seahawks by 6 points.
Key players: Arizona traded for veteran quarterback Carson Palmer in the offseason. The results have been mixed. Palmer has thrown for 1,483 yards in six games, but also has been intercepted 11 times, more than anyone in the league other than Eli Manning. Palmer’s favorite target is Arizona mainstay Larry Fitzgerald, who has battled nagging injuries but has 30 catches for 405 yards and four touchdowns. Defensive end Darnell Dockett leads a solid front line with four sacks. Cornerback Patrick Peterson is one of the better young players at his position and has three interceptions.
Arizona’s key to success: Under Arians, the Cardinals are attempting to get a passing game going to augment a defense that remains solid. Arizona is allowing just 90.7 rushing yards per game (fifth in the NFL) and 21.2 points (12th). But the Cardinals have had trouble hanging onto the ball and have a minus-two turnover margin, having lost four in Sunday’s defeat at San Francisco. Arizona has also had trouble getting its running game going, averaging just 85.7 yards on the ground, 24th in the league. The Cardinals had more success on the ground Sunday against San Francisco (109 yards on 21 carries), which helped Arizona outgain the 49ers 403-387. Arizona had won its two games before the loss at SF, holding Tampa Bay and Carolina to a combined 16 points.
