Reign FC added three players Friday from the National Women’s Soccer League college draft, led by first-round choice Amanda Frisbie, a defender from the University of Portland, at No. 7 overall.
Seattle also selected defender Megan Brigman of North Carolina and midfielder Ellen Parker of Portland in the second and fourth rounds.
Frisbie converted from forward in 2013 and still scored eight goals. She was a semifinalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy, awarded to the top player in college soccer, and was also named to the NSCAA All-America squad, the Pilots’ first player honored as a first-teamer since 2009.
Coach Laura Harvey said in a news release the Reign has been eyeing Frisbie since playing against her in preseason last year: “We are thrilled with the pick.”

“I’m so excited to be a part of this organization,” said Frisbie in the release. “Seattle is exactly where I wanted to be.”
Brigman had seven assists last year in a return from a broken leg and was drafted 17th overall. Parker scored seven goals in 2013 — all game-winners — and was taken at No. 30.
