This is the first career race for every horse in the field. Kendini has been working out well for trainer Chris Stenslie, who does well with first-timers. Major Incident has had solid workouts for an underrated trainier, Charles Essex. Our Revolution is also a threat to win.
Botch plunges in class after getting cooked in a speed duel. Whiskeyonthehouse seems to get better each race, and he should appreciate the extra furlong in distance. Private Password’s best races have come on a sloppy track.
Mz Dyno is one of just two who have raced before and made a nice rally to finish second after falling 14 lengths behind. She can win with a quicker start despite a jump up in class. Queen Sensation had an eye-catching 3-furlong workout on May 3. Duchess Debbie has been working out well for trainer Frank Lucarelli, who won the training title here last year.
Flight Pajamas was a disappointment in her last race but might rebound in this very weak field. First-time starter Delcine wouldn’t have to be great to win this race, but will likely get a wide trip because of her post position. Chromatose has been third eight times in 13 career starts.
Timely Note has crossed the finish line first in two straight races, but was disqualified and placed second at this distance and class level in his last start. Crescent Bar should be able to handle stretching out in distance. Blazing will be rallying late, and this race should set up well for a closer as the early pace should be fast.
SCRATCHED: My Mans No Lady
Bleu Tarp is in great form and should go off at a decent price in a great betting race. Newfound Man plunges in class after doing little in his first race in a year. Something obviously happened to him, but he can win this if he is even close to his former self. Chicks Dig Him drops in class for trainer Tim McCanna after he was claimed out of his last race.
Two o’Clock Draw regressed a bit in his last race, but a return to his previous form could be enough to win this race. Cat Can Bluff looked good in winning her career debut last month. Cinchmeup should improve in his second race against winners.
Seventyprcentcocoa is in great form, and the race should set up well for her as there should be quite a duel for the early lead and she can pass tiring horses late. P
erfect Pie tries hard every time and can win this if she sits behind the early leaders. River of Aces might be the quickest, but can she hang on?
Makors Finale is one tough horse and is undefeated in three races at this distance. Winning Machine should rebound after a poor effort. Jebrica is a solid fit with this group. Hoist will have to deal with the outside post.
SCRATCHED: Angels Can Be Wild
Have’n a Wild Time drops in class after a poor start doomed her chances in her last race. She gets a new rider today. Lonely and Free has never been out of the money in 10 tries at this distance on the dirt. Fiesty Lass takes a small jump up in class after winning her last race.
Credit Line should be too good for this group. Ourshanghaiexpress has finished second as the heavy favorite in his past two races. Who’s Cat Is Dat can improve with a better beginning.
