First three horses listed in each race in order of predicted finish.
First race: 2 p.m.
Bad Boy K met a tough group of $3,500 claimers in his last race and he has a good shot to win with the drop in class. All My Friends will try to lead from gate to wire, but he couldn’t hang on as the 1-10 favorite in his last race, and has to go an extra half-furlong in this race. El Cazador gets a jockey switch to the leading rider, Juan Gutierrez.

Nacho Macho has been working out decently for his career debut for trainer David Martinez, who has been excellent the past two years with 2-year-olds and first-time starters. Our Revolution lost all chance with a poor start in his last race and now he takes a big drop in class. Oldtimers Vision was second at this level earlier this month.
Chu and I finally reversed his poor form with a second-place finish at this distance two weeks ago. Timely Note is in great form and has finished first in three of his past four starts. Camp Pendleton tries a mile for the first time but should be competitive against this group.
Agoodlawyer Willdo, a $50,000 yearling purchase, continues her drop down the class level. Holy Dazzle has been second in her past two races. Daisy Clover finished in a dead heat for third with the top pick in her last race.
Popular Pick cuts back in distance after leading for much of the race at a mile last month. Sharp Focus drops in class. Austincitynights looks to rebound after finishing out of the money for the first time in eight career starts.
Sweet Nellie Brown takes a big drop in class and there should be enough speed to set up her closing kick. Roarified also takes a big drop in class and she has won 10 times in 16 starts, but she likely will have to work hard for the early lead. Call Me Cinderella is a versatile horse and might be able to handle the jump up in class.
Amazing Legacy drops in class and cuts back in distance in a race with a lot of early speed. Rainier Missile has been first or second in 11 of 18 starts at Emerald. Chicks Dig Him is the only closer in the race and it wouldn’t be a shock if he won.
Sweet Sara Brown gets her favorite jockey back after a poor race as the 3-2 favorite on July 4. Muchas Coronas finished well ahead of the top pick in that race. Lasting Rose takes a drop in class after being overmatched in a stakes race in her last start.
This is a great race as every horse has a legitimate chance to win. California invader Tres Borrachos doesn’t win often, but he has made more than $1 million while competing mainly in graded stakes races. Jebrica will be rallying late. Winning Machine is getting back into form.
Royal Cantu lost all chance at the start in her last race. She drops in class, but don’t bet the house on her as she has been off two months for a low-percentage trainer. Quack Up looks pretty good if you ignore her last race, when she got a wide trip in a 10-horse field. Sassy Poppy will be well bet but she hasn’t won on a fast surface.
BEST BET: Popular Pick.
