First race: 2 p.m.

1 6 furlongs, purse $6,725, 2-year-old, maiden claiming $7,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
2 Oldtimers Vision I Enriquez 6/5 118
1 Dark Heat J Whitaker 3 118
6 Spit and Shine J Zunino 9/2 118
3 Coach Vince A Sanguinetti 15 118
4 Plan A N Chaves 10 118
5 Dr. Ryan’s Gold M Iammarino 5 118

Oldtimers Vision drops in class and meets a very weak field. No other horse in the field has been closer than 11 lengths at the finish. Dark Heat also drops in class and has shown more speed than most in this field. Spit and Shine could improve with a better break.

2 6 furlongs, purse $4,725, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $2,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
1 Hillbilly Cadillac J Matias 6 124
6 Marvin’s Magic M Iammarino 5/2 124
5 Royal Shrine J Gutierrez 7/2 124
2 Silver Sneakers L Camacho-Flores 3 124
3 Hip Hop City R Bowen 4 124
4 Our Marshal Cahill D Hoonan 15 124
7 Immigration J Whitaker 15 124

Hillbilly Cadillac is tough at the $2,500 claiming level and is better than his last race indicates. Marvin’s Magic drops in class and scratched out of a race Friday to run in this. Royal Shrine will be rallying late.

3 1 mile, purse $10,500, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, claiming $10,000/$8,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
2 Stephiano L Camacho-Flores 6 119
3 Sis’s Sis J Gutierrez 2 123
6 Roarified I Enriquez 7/2 123
1 Just Have’n Fun J Whitaker 10 119
4 Jaz Unlimited A Sanguinetti 4 113
5 Call Me Cinderella J Matias 5/2 119

SCRATCHED: Touch of Elegance.

There could be quite a battle for the early lead, which could make the race set up well for a closer like Stephiano. Sis’s Sis, a longtime stakes performer, plunges in class, but she will face a lot of competition for the early led. Roarified has won 10 of 18 starts at Emerald, but she also is a front-runner who needs to avoid going too fast too early.

4 11/16 miles, purse $50,000 Pegasus Training Center Stakes, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, Stakes
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
3 E Z Kitty A Sanguinetti 1/2 123
1 Cielator R Richard 5/2 121
4 Royal Moses J Matias 8 123
2 Whiskey Miner D Lopez 10 117
5 Stephanie Plum I Enriquez 12 119

E Z Kitty is too good for this field if she is on her game, but occasionally she doesn’t have it so don’t bet the house. Cielator is a talented, lightly raced mare. Royal Moses can fill out the trifecta.

5 1 mile, C and G (colts and geldings), purse $50,000 Jim Beam Stakes, 3-year-olds
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
3 Music of My Soul I Enriquez 7/5 122
6 Mike Man’s Gold J Matias 5/2 122
1 Somewhere With You J Gutierrez 10 117
4 He’s Not Bluffin C Sutherland-Kruse 8 117
2 Belt R Bowen 3 117
5 So Legit E Kubinova 10 117

Music of My Soul was cooked by going too fast early in the Emerald Downs Derby, but he should rebound. Mike Man’s Gold is a three-time stakes winner. He’s Not Bluffin has won two consecutive races.

6 6 furlongs, C and G (colts and geldings), purse $50,000 Dennis Dodge Stakes, 2-year-olds
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
1 Noosito I Enriquez 5/2 120
3 Del Rio Harbor R Bowen 2 120
5 City Shadows E Kubinova 12 118
2 Orito A Sanguinetti 6 120
4 Twentyten J Matias 20 120
6 Mebossman D Lopez 5 118
7 Stikine Slough J Gutierrez 3 120

Noosito lost as the 4-5 favorite in a stakes race last month, but a poor beginning hurt his chances. Del Rio Harbor beat the top pick in the last race for his third consecutive victory and is the horse to beat. City Shadows was a solid second in his career debut last month.

7 6 furlongs, purse $50,000 Northwest Farms Stakes, 2-year-olds, fillies
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
8 Chu and You J Gutierrez 8/5 119
4 Da Burn R Richard 3 119
3 Belladiva L Camacho-Flores 5 119

2 See My Tail Lites E Kubinova 20 119
5 Sunpenny D Lopez 8 119
6 Zafari Nation L Lopez 20 119
7 Hey Lil Missy R Bowen 20 119
9 Knight Club I Enriquez 8 119

The speedy Chu and You has won all three of her races, including stakes in the past two. Da Burn won by 12¼ lengths in a maiden allowance race two weeks ago, and her stablemate, Belladiva, is also coming off an impressive win.

8 1 mile, purse $50,000 Comcast Sportsnet Stakes, 3-year-olds, fillies,
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
7 Beautranda I Enriquez 3 116
9 Madame Pele J Gutierrez 5/2 116
2 Hetty E Kubinova 9/2 116
1 Holy Dazzle L Camacho-Flores 12 116
3 House of Hope M Iammarino 15 116
4 Lumen Took It J Matias 20 116
5 Business Venture D Lopez 8 116
6 Premo Jewel D Hoonan 6 116
8 Say Say C Sutherland-Kruse 10 116

Beautranda gets an easier field after taking a shot in the Washington Oaks. Madame Pele has been racing well in Northern California. Hetty showed great improvement in her last race.

9 11/16 miles, purse $50,000 Muckleshoot Tribal Classic, 3-year-olds and up.
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
3 Jebrica I Enriquez 9/5 124
1 Stryker Phd D Hoonan 8/5 118
5 Polish Dollar J Gutierrez 5/2 122
2 Memphis Beach L Camacho-Flores 20 118
4 I Keep Saying E Kubinova 12 120
6 Kooky Saluki J Matias 12 118

Jebrica was my pick in the Longacres Mile (he finished fourth) and I’m giving him another chance. Stryker Phd will likely be favored after his second-place finish in the Mile, his fourth consecutive stakes this summer he has finished second. Polish Dollar always tries hard but the top two seems clearly the best.

10 11/16 miles, purse $4,725, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, claiming $2,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
2 Five Times A Sanguinetti 1 123
6 Lil Sister Sadie E Kubinova 9/2 123
3 Foolish Miss J Zunino 6 123
1 Warren’s Rock Art R Bowen 3 123
4 Fly Away N Chaves 12 123
5 Roxy Skylar D Hoonan 10 123

Five Times has been an easy winner in his past two races at this level. Lil Sister Sadie has been first or second in four of her past five races. Foolish Miss can get into the trifecta.

BEST BET: Oldtimers Vision.
