3 One Hot Cop P Fernandez 4 125
5 Mr Speedygonzalez J Zunino 9/2 125
6 Mr Easy Okie L Camacho-Flores 7/2 125

Rf Pistol Pete loves it at Emerald Downs and looks very tough if the track is not sloppy. Midway Monster is in good form. Cloudy Dancer runs at a career-low level.

2 6 furlongs, purse $5,300, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, claiming $2,500

2 Special Buttons J Gutierrez 4 119
5 Valid Vixen Queen I Enriquez 5/2 123
6 Goin Out Tonite J Rosales 10 119

Opening Buzz gets an extra half-furlong after two decent efforts at 5½ furlongs, and the extra distance should help her. Kiss Em didn’t break well after being well-bet when dropping in class to this level in her last race. She could rebound. Brats Brat finished right behind the top pick in her last race.

3 6 furlongs, purse $7,200, 3-year-olds and up, WCL $5,000/$4,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.

2 Buddy Dave J Rosales 7/2 120
1 Our Eagle Boy A Sanguinetti 10 120
4 Jade Road J Gutierrez 5/2 120
5 Givajunior Mint D Lopez 5 120

Rezar finished third when taking a significant class drop to this level in his last race. A better post in this race should help. Buds a Flying (10 wins in 27 starts) and Buddy Dave (13 of 43) have had great success at Emerald.

4 1 mile, purse $5,400, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $2,500

6 Priceless Keith J Zunino 8 124
7 Only Be Cause L Gonzalez 15 124
8 Mr Shane the Pain J Rosales 10 124

Da Ruler just won a similar race and was scratched out of a race Friday to run in this. Showmethemoneyjim lost by a nose in his last race and has had success at the one-mile distance. Sharp Focus showed little in two shorter races at this meet, but had a nice victory at a mile in his last race of 2013.

5 51/2 furlongs, purse $9,975, 3-year-old, maiden claiming $15,000

5 Troop Ship L Camacho-Flores 4 122
3 Inviting Roman I Enriquez 5 122
1 Sthenios F Valdez 9/5 122

4 Grindster J Gutierrez 6 122
6 Stoneman E Kubinova 10 122
7 Nosetodagrindstone R Bowen 6 122
8 Sociable Gold L Mawing 8 122

Troop Ship took a step forward in his first race as a 3-year-old, finishing second after a poor start to the race. Inviting Roman takes a big class drop from maiden allowance competition for trainer Frank Lucarelli, who has had a great first month. Sthenios ran a solid third against state-bred maidens in his debut last month.

6 6 furlongs, purse $14,375, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $25,000/$22,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
5 So Legit R Bowen 2 121
4 Orito E Kubinova 5/2 112
3 Dogleg Left L Mawing 9/2 124
1 Freedomofthehills J Gutierrez 3 115
2 Bound to Win R Richard 5 118

So Legit faced a very tough group two weeks ago. This is a much softer field and he should be much better. Orito, a 3-year-old, ran a nice race in his yearly debut, finshing third despite a wide trip. Dogleg Left was third in a similar race in his last start.

7 6 furlongs, purse $14,800, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $20,000/$18,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
4 Assessment G Mitchell 5/2 120
2 Southern Solution J Matias 9/2 120
5 Dare Me Devil R Richard 2 120
1 Memphis Beach L Mawing 7/2 117
3 Kenzie Carolina D Lopez 4 115

Assessment, winner of the 2009 Longacres Mile, got his first win since 2010 in his last start. Maybe he can go on a winning streak. Southern Solution has won five of nine career starts. Dare Me Devil returns off a layoff, but he is a good fit against this group.

8 6 furlongs, purse $18,900, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, AOC $25,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
6 Stephanie Plum L Camacho-Flores 6 123

8 Alert in Class L Mawing 9/5 119
1 Holy Dazzle R Bowen 12 119
2 River of Aces E Kubinova 3 123
3 Grab Ahold I Enriquez 12 119
5 Havasu Falls J Gutierrez 12 119
7 Beautranda F Valdez 6 119

Stephanie Plum just won a similar race, and she runs hard almost every time. Tabled With Gold was a head behind the top pick in her last race. Alert In Class, a $230,000 yearling purchase in 2012, is a strong threat to win if her recent form on the synthetic surface at Golden Gate in Northern California carries over to the real dirt at Emerald.

9 6 furlongs, purse $5,700, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $3,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
4 Vegas Burn R Bowen 5/2 121
2 Brudda Clyde I Enriquez 2 121
5 Big Fat Storm D Lopez 4 124
1 Marvin’s Magic L Zacherle 12 121
3 Our Marshal Cahill L Camacho-Flores 9/2 121
6 Fine and Rare A Sanguinetti 5 121

SCRATCHED: Corner Office.

Vegas Burn is 3 for 3 at Emerald this season. He jumps up in class, but he is still the horse to beat. Brudda Clyde also jumps up in class after a nice win. Big Fat Storm has finished first or second in eight of nine starts at Emerald.

BEST BET: Da Ruler.
