Sunday

First race: 2 p.m.

1 6 furlongs, purse $9,975, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, claiming $12,500/$10,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
4 Diner’s Diva E Kubinova 9/5 123
5 Cheese J Gutierrez 5/2 120
3 Mz Dyno D Lopez 2 111
1 Katsthoughts G Mitchell 9/2 117
2 Seattle Harbor L Camacho-Flores 10 114

Diner’s Diva was a well-beaten third as the 9-10 favorite in her last race, but think she can atone for that. Cheese finished just ahead of the top pick in her last race. Mz Dyno is an improving horse.

2 6 furlongs, purse $10,500, 3-year-old, fillies, claiming $10,000/$8,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
2 Miss Fast Eddie R Bowen 9/5 117
4 Tricky Person E Kubinova 6/5 120
1 Point Da Harbor G Mitchell 4 120
3 Cherokee Chelsea J Gutierrez 8 120
5 Alta’s Forever L Camacho-Flores 10 120

Miss Fast Eddie had basically no chance in her last race, when Tricky Person got an easy lead in a three-horse race. The latter will face more pace pressure today. Point Da Harbor is coming off a nice win.

3 1 mile, purse $17,850, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, maiden optional claiming $30,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
5 Timeless Pleasure R Bowen 5/2 117
1 Wedding Kake R Richard 3 117
3 Ee Da How L Camacho-Flores 8 123
2 Ms. Parker G Mitchell 9/2 114
4 Pickherormiss J Gutierrez 4 114
6 My Special Eyes L Mawing 7/2 120

Timeless Pleasure, a $150,000 yearling purchase, hasn’t been competitive in shorter races but might like the longer distance. Wedding Kake failed as the favorite in her last race, but she got off to a bad start and might not have liked the wet surface. Ee Da How could improve in her second start at Emerald Downs.

4 6 furlongs, purse $14,800, 3-year-old, fillies, claiming $20,000/$18,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
5 Lexie Arleen F Valdez 9/5 121
3 Knight Club I Enriquez 5/2 121
2 See My Tail Lites E Kubinova 2 117
1 Simba’s Sis J Gutierrez 6 121
4 K K’s Wonderwoman L Mawing 9/2 117

Lexie Arleen beat two in this field in her last race, and she could improve in her second start at Emerald after running in Northern California. Isaias Enriquez is back on Knight Club, and he rode her to a win two races ago. See My Tail Lites also has a decent chance in an evenly matched race.

5 11/16 miles, purse $6,200, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $3,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
1 Barton Hill A Sanguinetti 5 121
3 Whiskey Prince I Enriquez 7/2 121
5 Double Shuffle R Bowen 3 121
2 Cane Seeker D Lopez 4 124
4 Our Eagle Boy J Whitaker 12 121
6 Showmethemoneyjim R Richard 2 121

SCRATCHED: Camp Pendelton.

Barton Hill should improve with the switch from a sprint to a route. Whiskey Prince could get a very easy lead in a paceless race, and if that happens, he should be able to handle the stretchout in distance. Double Shuffle has been in decent form at Turf Paradise in Phoenix.

6 6 furlongs, purse $5,700, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, claiming $3,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
4 Wedge of Gold G Mitchell 5/2 120
6 Grand Baylee D Lopez 5 120
1 Touch of Elegance J Matias 8 120
2 Snackable L Mawing 3 123
3 Port Wakefield J Whitaker 9/2 120
5 Jordans Jem J Gutierrez 7/2 120

SCRATCHED: Miss Madavor.

Wedge of Gold lost by a head in her last race, and it was 5 lengths back to the third-place horse. Grand Baylee has had great success at Emerald, as has Touch of Elegance, who could wake up with the drop in class.

7 6 furlongs, purse $10,500, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $10,000/$8,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
2 Come Away Home J Gutierrez 3 120
3 Rainier Ice G Mitchell 9/2 120
1 Chaching Pete I Enriquez 7/2 120
4 Songandabullet D Lopez 12 124
5 Ugottabcatty L Mawing 8 120
6 Leadership J Matias 6 120
7 Surfliner R Richard 8 124
8 Direct Cost J Whitaker 8 120
9 Big Bad Brown E Kubinova 10 120

A great race where a case could be made for almost every horse. Come Away Home drops in class after a decent race coming off a layoff. Rainier Ice finished a head in front of the top pick in his last race. Chaching Pete won six times in eight starts last year.

8 61/2 furlongs, C and G (colts and geldings), purse $50,000, 3-year-old, Auburn Handicap
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
1 Del Rio Harbor I Enriquez 9/5 122
5 Noosito L Mawing 2 120
4 Stikine Slough F Valdez 6 118
2 Redsolocup R Bowen 7/2 116
3 Mebossman D Lopez 4 115

Del Rio Harbor, last year’s 2-year-old champ at Emerald, looked great in winning an allowance race earlier this month. Noosito beat the top pick at 6 furlongs last year, and the two stablemates will look to go 1-2. Stikine Slough has great early speed.

9 61/2 furlongs, purse $5,500, 3-year-olds and up, maiden claiming $5,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
9 The Prime Mover R Richard 7/2 118
3 Private Ride I Enriquez 5/2 118
4 Everydayimhustlin J Whitaker 5 124
1 Money Cat E Kubinova 4 118
2 Sorry Pal R Bowen 15 118
5 Onetimeforolmark J Rosales 15 118
6 Regazze Cat L Gonzalez 20 118
7 Dakota Firefly L Camacho-Flores 9/2 124
8 Plan A J Zunino 15 118

The Prime Mover is interesting. His only race was in a $75,000 maiden claimer on the turf at Santa Anita. He was badly beaten, but he doesn’t have to be great to beat this group. Private Ride might improve if the track is fast. Everydayimhustlin is winless in 15 starts, but was second in his last race, by far his best performance.

BEST BET: Wedge of Gold.
