Salsa Boy made an eye-catching move to take the lead late in the race, then inexplicably veered in just before the finish and was disqualified. He was clearly the best that day. Harbor Star drops in class and could surprise. Firebender has been racing OK in Northern California.
Jordan’s Jem will likely be favored, and she will be tough to beat after finishing second in her first two career races. Magic Molly finished right behind the top pick in her career debut last month. Chromatose is usually in the money.
Ugotthemoneyhoney was second in her last race while coming off a nine-month layoff. She should take a step forward in this race. Holy Dazzle is a good fit at this level. Our Little Hen was second of 10 while facing older horses in her last start.
Im Pure Brass could get a nice spot right behind the early speedsters. Just Zoom Will Do has been claimed in three straight races and has won two of those three. Buds A Flying is in good form.
Uzziah could run down El Gran Bebe and Max Cooper if the latter two get into a speed duel.
A Belle and a Cat will be tough at this level, a career-low for her. Miss Fun Run has been in great form and has been claimed out of each of her last two races for $2,500. Meant to Be Mia is coming off a victory.
This might be a good distance for Orcas Gold, who cuts back in distance after running a mile. Jack the Pirate and Galway Guiness both beat the top pick last month.
Cat On Base has run well after long layoffs and has blazing speed. He scratched out of a race last weekend to run in this. Come Away Home is in great form and has a great chance if the top pick is not ready. Tapadero is better than his last race indicates.
Way to Go Lo ran a dud in her last race, but a repeat of her previous races would give her a good chance to win. Blast’sdoubledeuce and Plum Naked drop in class.
