PRINCE ALBERT, Saskatchewan — Tyler Metcalfe scored twice to extend his goal streak to five games as the Seattle Thunderbirds beat the Prince Albert Raiders 3-2 last night in a Western Hockey League game.


The U.S. Division-leading T-birds improved to 23-8-0-1 as they won their third consecutive game. They finished a six-game trip 4-1-0-1.


Metcalfe scored in the first period and got a power-play goal in the second for a 2-0 lead. Derek Couture’s goal put the T-birds up 3-0 at 7:57 of the second period.


Prince Albert (13-18-4-1), outshot 34-18, got two goals in the third period.
