BELLEVUE — Conor Mullen scored a season-high 30 points on some long-range sharpshooting as O’Dea, ranked second in the state in Class 3A, rolled to a 79-43 Metro League boys basketball victory over Eastside Catholic last night.
Mullen, a 6-foot-6 senior forward, hit 11 of 16 field-goal attempts, including a 4-of-5 performance behind the three-point line.
Mitch Johnson added 22 points for O’Dea (6-2 overall, 5-1 Mountain Division).
Pat Bach led the Crusaders (2-7, 1-5) with 17 points.
Bainbridge 64, at Lakeside 49
Lakeside (1-6, 1-5 took a one-point lead into the fourth quarter, then got left in the Spartans’ dust in a Metro Mountain Division game. Bainbridge (3-3, 3-3) hit 10 of 10 free throws and had three breakaway baskets down the stretch to pull away. John Bruns and Theo Miller of Bainbridge and Matt Allen of Lakeside each scored 15 points.
At Rainier Beach 79, West Seattle 47
The third-ranked Vikings, trailing 17-12 after one quarter, took command with a 27-point second quarter in the Metro Sound Division game. Terrance Williams had 24 points and Tremaine Menesse had a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds for Rainier Beach (5-2, 5-1). Obinna Okolie scored 20 for West Seattle (4-2, 4-2).
Cleveland 80, at Ingraham 41
The Eagles (6-2, 4-2) connected on five three-pointers in a 21-5 second-quarter run that doomed the Rams (0-7, 0-6) in the Metro Sound Division game. Isiah Brooks of Cleveland led all scorers with 18 points.
Nathan Hale 68, at Chief Sealth 65
Wyatt Taboh-Graziano scored 19 points, Alex Smith 17 and Casey Pursell 16 for the Raiders (5-2, 4-2), who hung on for a Metro Sound Division win. Melvin Jones led Sealth (2-5, 2-4) with 17.
Evergreen 62, at Highline 56
Brian Jenkins and Jeremy Bakke led a fourth-quarter comeback by the Wolverines for their first victory in a Seamount League King Division game. Jenkins finished with 20 points, Rashaud Smith 19 and Bakke 14 for Evergreen (1-6, 1-2). Matt Gustman scored 16 for the Pirates (0-8, 0-3).
Kennedy 62, at Tyee 41
Mike Bonazza scored 22 points and De Angelo Jones 21 as the Lancers (4-1, 2-1) handed the foul-troubled Totems (5-2, 2-1) their first Seamount King Division defeat. Poor free-throw shooting also hurt Tyee, which was led by Terrance Sanders’ 15 points.
At Renton 72, Lindbergh 54
The Indians built a 22-point halftime lead with a big second quarter and cruised to a Seamount King Division win over the Eagles (0-5, 0-3). Shawn Henderson had 16 points and Melvin Samuel 15 for Renton (4-1, 2-1).
At White River 50, Fife 36
White River shot 51 percent (20 of 39) from the field while holding Fife to 22 percent in handing the Trojans (4-2, 1-1) their first Seamount Pierce Division loss. Brent Addink had 14 points and Tyler Nixon 11 rebounds for the Hornets (4-4, 2-0).
