Auburn Riverside coach Tim Nelson: “In my 35 years of coaching, Brittany ranks as one of the greatest Washington basketball players I’ve ever seen. But what separates her from this elite group is her nose for the ball. She seems to get every loose ball, every rebound, blocks shots and has a motor that never stops running. She’s a nice, humble, classy kid. She’s just plain good!”

Mount Rainier coach Bob Bolam: “We were good before she got here, but she has helped take us to another level. Her work ethic and dedication are off the charts, as is her basketball IQ. She makes everyone around her work harder just to keep up with her. She is a great role model for others to follow, and her leadership has grown tremendously. When all is said and done, she will be standing on the top of the mountain.”

Memorable moment: With the Rams trailing Inglemoor 51-45 in a Class 4A state quarterfinal game, McPhee scored 10 of her 28 points down the stretch to key a 61-56 victory. She finished with 15 rebounds and made 14 of 15 free throws.

Key stats: Set school records with 783 points (27.0 average) and 96 blocks (3.1) this season, and also averaged 12.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 3.0 steals. Her career points (2,039), rebounds (1,040) and blocks (215) are also school marks.
