Garrison Carr, Issaquah boys basketball
Carr, a 5-foot-11 senior guard, scored the winning basket in a 60-59 victory over Interlake and finished with 33 points. Earlier in the week, the American University signee scored 37 in a win against Mount Si, hitting 11 of 19 field-goal attempts and 6 of 10 three-point shots.
Tricia Dixon, Newport girls basketball
The 5-8 junior guard had 24 points, 10 rebounds and six steals in a KingCo 3A victory over Mercer Island. Dixon began the week with 15 points on five three-pointers against Bellevue and finished the week with 14 points in a nonleague game against Inglemoor.
Mount Si wrestling team
The Wildcats, coached by Jeff Newcomer, won the Sammamish Invitational, beating runner-up Edmonds-Woodway by 25.5 points. Kyle Heath, Joe Taklo, Mike Montgomery, Mac Donnell, Pano Dreves and Trevor Moore all took first in their weight classes to lead the way.
