Danza wins Arkansas race
Danza pulled away in the home stretch to shock a star-packed field in the Arkansas Derby on Saturday, giving trainer Todd Pletcher his second straight victory in the $1 million race.
The colt went off at 40-1 at Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs, Ark., and beat Ride on Curlin by 4¾ lengths, running 11
8 miles in 1:49.68 in the Kentucky Derby prep.

Winston passes for 396 yards, 2 TDs
Jameis Winston threw for 396 yards and two touchdowns in the defending national champion Florida State’s spring game, leading the Garnet team to a 31-14 victory over the Gold team.
The Heisman winner completed 27 of 55 passes, throwing a 6-yard touchdown pass to Rashad Greene and a 12-yarder to Jesus Wilson. Winston also threw an interception.

Ware to Georgia State
The stepfather of former Louisville guard Kevin Ware said the player is transferring to Georgia State. Ware’s decision comes a year after he suffered a gruesome right leg break in the Midwest Regional final against Duke. The injury made him a sentimental figure in the Cardinals’ run to the NCAA championship and an instant celebrity.
Bruins clinch Presidents’ Trophy
The Boston Bruins clinched the NHL’s best record and home-ice advantage throughout the playoffs with a 4-1 win over the league-worst Buffalo Sabres.
It was the first time the Bruins have claimed the Presidents’ Trophy since the 1989-90 season.
Tampa Bay Lightning left wing Ryan Malone was charged with DUI and possession of cocaine after a traffic stop, police said. Malone was released from the Hillsborough County jail on $2,500 bond.
Union wins NCAA title
Union College won its first NCAA hockey title, scoring three times in a 1:54 span in the first period in a 7-4 victory over Minnesota in Philadelphia. Colin Stevens made 36 saves for Union (32-6-4), a 2,200-student liberal arts college in Schenectady, N.Y., that competes in Division III in all other sports.
• Michigan’s Sam Mikulak won a record-tying seventh individual NCAA men’s gymnastics title with a victory on the parallel bars in Ann Arbor. Mikulak won the overall title Friday.
