WICHITA FALLS, Texas — Seattle Pacific can take a step closer to its first Division II women’s soccer title in a semifinal against Carson-Newman at 3 p.m. today.

With a victory the No. 2 Falcons, 19-0-4 and making their first Final Four appearance, would advance to Saturday’s 11 a.m. championship game.

“We definitely lost a lot earlier last year than we thought we would,” junior center back Carolyn Nason said. “I think that’s a little bit of what’s been driving us this year.”

Note

• SPU sophomore F Sarah Martinez and senior MF Shannon Lovejoy were named to the NSCAA All-America first team.
