Cal State San Bernardino dealt the fifth-ranked Western Washington men’s basketball team its first defeat 99-91 Saturday at the South Point Holiday Hoops Classic in Las Vegas.
Richard Woodworth scored a career-high 30 points for the Vikings (8-1). The game was their first on the road this season.
San Bernardino (6-1) won its sixth straight as Andrew Young scored 24 points.

Women’s college basketball
Tenth-ranked West Texas A&M stormed back from a 14-point, first-half deficit and pulled away late in the game to beat No. 9 Seattle Pacific 74-65 at Brougham Pavilion.
Katie Benson scored 24 points and Suzanna Ohlsen added 16 for the Falcons (8-2).
Casey Land led the Buffs (9-1) with 19 points.
