LOS ANGELES — Cal Poly erased an 18-point deficit in the second half and made two free throws with 14.2 seconds remaining to upset No. 11 UCLA 70-68 on Sunday at Pauley Pavilion.
Dylan Royer scored 18 points and Kyle Odister came off the bench and added 15 points to help the Mustangs (2-2) earn their first win against the Bruins (4-2) in six tries.
Chris Eversley had 15 points and 10 rebounds for Cal Poly, which went on a 34-14 run after falling behind 51-33.
Eversley tipped in a miss for a 67-65 lead and Cal Poly didn’t trail the rest of the way.
