KIRKLAND — Three Seahawks have been selected to represent Seattle in the Pro Bowl, the NFL announced today.
Running back Shaun Alexander, left guard Steve Hutchinson and left tackle Walter Jones were voted onto the NFC squad by fans, coaches and other NFL players.
Hutchinson and Alexander, alternates last season who played in the all-star game, were voted onto the team for the first time. Jones will make his fourth straight trip to the Pro Bowl, barring injury, and was selected for the fifth time in his career.
Alexander is the NFC’s leading rusher with 1,462 yards. He also leads the NFC in scoring (96 points), rushing touchdowns (12) and total touchdowns (16).
Jones’ fifth selection ties him with Kenny Easley for third-most in Seahawks history, behind Cortez Kennedy (eight selections) and Steve Largent (seven).
