Everett Symphony’s “Night Before New
Year’s Eve”: The orchestra performs songs from a decade-by-decade musical countdown, 1954 to 2004, at the Everett Performing Arts Center, 2710 Wetmore Ave. Paul-Elliott Cobbs conducts the symphony. The program features narrator Tony Ventrella, keyboard artist and vocalist Murl Allen Sanders, and singer Nadine Shanti. New Year’s Eve Gala at Everett Events
Center Ballroom: Soul Flight, a Seattle rhythm-and-blues band, headlines this party. Doors open at 8 p.m.; music and dancing begin at 9 p.m. A belly-dance troupe performs during band breaks. New Year’s Eve parties run in two-hour blocks from noon to 6 p.m. Families can bring children for party favors, hats and leis every hour. The cost is $49 per lane for up to six people.
Family groups and bowlers under age 18 can bowl from 8 to 10 p.m. ($40 per lane) and from 10:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. ($50 per lane.)
An over-18 party from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. includes a buffet, party favors, noisemakers, champagne or sparkling cider and Monte Carlo bowling. Cosmic Bowling starts at 12:15 a.m. Cost: $34.99 per person if paid by Tuesday, $44.99 at the door. Child care is $5 per child.
