SNOHOMISH — Six teens were hospitalized last night after the car they were riding in spun out of control and rolled into a ditch.

Investigators believe alcohol consumption and speeding caused the 16-year-old unlicensed driver to lose control of the car in the 23300 block of Woods Creek Road, said Snohomish County Sheriff’s spokesman Rich Niebusch.

At about 1 a.m. deputies found the car in an irrigation ditch. A girl in the car managed to call 911 from her cell phone, Niebusch said.

The Everett driver and another boy were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The other four teens were taken to Everett-area hospitals. None of the teens’ injuries are considered life threatening, Niebusch said.
