A partner in a Seattle law firm has been arrested on investigation of rape, police say.
A man booked into the King County Jail early Tuesday on investigation of rape is suspected of raping massage therapists in Seattle and Bellevue at knife point.
According to Seattle police, employees of Carnation Massage Clinic, at 602 NW 85th St. in Seattle, called 911 Monday night to report that a suspect who had recently assaulted a therapist had returned. Other employees chased down the man, who had fled on foot. He was caught a short distance later and then taken into police custody.
It is not clear when the sexual assault allegedly occurred.
Carla Iafrate, spokeswoman for the Bellevue Police Department, said Tuesday that the same man is suspected of raping a massage therapist in that city at knife point last month. He has not been arrested in connection with that case, however.

When she refused, the man became angry, threatened her with a pocket knife and raped her, police said at the time.
According to jail and public records, the suspect is a partner in a Seattle law firm. He also worked in the Seattle City Attorney’s Office several years ago.
The suspect is scheduled to make his first court appearance Wednesday afternoon.
