Sunday is St. Patrick’s Day, and there’s plenty happening to celebrate. Seattle Center’s free Irish Festival continues 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. with music, singing, dancing, genealogy and Irish-language workshops, cultural exhibits, children’s activities, Irish and Celtic themed vendors and a free Irish Reels Film Festival. An estimated 17,000 runners, known for zany costumes, will take to the streets Sunday for the St. Patrick’s Day Dash to benefit Northwest children’s charities. The main race route loops from Seattle Center, up Highway 99 to the Aurora Avenue Bridge, and then back. Races start at 8 and 9 a.m., so watch for road closures in the area.
