A traveling exhibit from the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam opens in Seattle on Sunday, March 6.
Agi Day, born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia (now Serbia), is a Holocaust survivor. This reproduction copy of Anne Frank’s diary is on display at the traveling exhibit at the Henry and Sandra Friedman Holocaust Center for Humanity, 2045 Second Ave., The exhibit opens Sunday. Day, her mother and sister made their way to Hungary but had to go into hiding there and were taken in by a priest. Day was then placed with a family from the parish pretending to be a cousin. The center is open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesdays and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sundays during the exhibit’s run (it ends May 18). More information: 206-582-3000 or holocaustcenterseattle.org.
