Just over 7,000 homes and businesses in South Seattle lost power for a while Saturday evening, but officials said the lights were back on by 9:45 p.m.

According to a Seattle City Light map, sections of the Seward Park, Beacon Hill, Rainier Valley and Rainier Beach neighborhoods were affected.

City Light, on Twitter, blamed the outage on some “relay equipment problems.”
