Law enforcement officers in Pierce County, Wash., say an undercover sting in which local officers and federal agents ran a “chop shop” of their own for stolen cars has put a dent in vehicle theft.

Lakewood police Lt. Chris Lawler says the task force arrested 21 people and recovered 26 vehicles, 16 firearms and 11 other pieces of stolen property.

On Wednesday, officers returned the items. Mariah Morris was among those reunited with their vehicles. She was delighted to find that her favorite photo of her grandparents was still inside.

Officers say they’re still looking for five suspects.
