A man who led law enforcement officers on a 12-mile, high-speed chase between Fairview, Ore., and Vancouver, Wash., has been sentenced to 60 days in jail for taking a motor vehicle without permission.

The Columbian reports ( http://is.gd/vu5DPr) that 23-year-old Daniel Edstrom of Gresham, Ore., pleaded guilty to the felony charge in exchange for reduced charges after the Feb. 27 chase. Sentenced Monday in Clark County Superior Court, he’ll get credit for 12 days served.

Officers from six agencies were involved in the chase. No one was hurt.

The car was finally disabled after hitting a police spike strip.

Edstrom was caught in bushes behind a restaurant after fleeing on foot.
