The newly built Francia Russell Center, the Eastside branch of Pacific Northwest Ballet School, opened Wednesday on 136th Place Northeast in Bellevue. The school’s previous Bellevue location closed last year because it was in the path of Sound Transit’s new East Link route through the city.

The new building features seven dance studios and is a Certified LEED Gold “green” facility. PNB School, considered one of the nation’s top ballet schools, currently serves more than 1,000 students in Seattle and the Eastside, with nearly 30 faculty members.
