A Spanaway, Pierce County, man was arrested in Federal Way on Saturday for allegedly trying to arrange to have sex with a 15-year-old girl, Seattle police said.
Last Thursday, a Seattle Police Department undercover detective posing as a 15-year-old girl responded to an online ad seeking sex that had been placed by the man, according to a probable-cause document outlining the police case. The 57-year-old man replied, and he agreed to pay $150 for sex and sent messages detailing his planned sex acts, which included bondage and torture, according to the probable-cause document.
After his arrest Saturday, officers found that he had three $50 bills and a handcuff key.
He was booked into the King County Jail on suspicion of commercial sex abuse of a minor and felony communicating with a minor for immoral purposes.

The Seattle Times is not naming the man because he has not been charged.
In 2006, the man was found guilty of sexually exploiting a 14-year-old girl after he met a girl who advertised herself as a 19-year-old woman through a website for bondage-style sex. He was arrested after the girl was reported missing from her foster home and her email address was traced to his home, according to court documents.
He was sentenced to 10 years in prison, but his conviction was overturned in 2008 after a state appeals court ruled that the trial judge made errors in jury selection and allowed evidence from a faulty search.
