The mammoth tusk unearthed earlier this month in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood will be on display at the Burke Museum starting with Dino Day, March 8, and for the following weekends in March. Paleontologists then will study the tusk to determine its age and the environment in which it lived 20,000-22,000 years ago, paleontologists said at an unveiling Wednesday.

A mammoth-naming contest will launch online March 8 at Entries also can be submitted in person at the Burke Museum.
