Parent-support group to hold annual benefit
Program for Early Parent Support (PEPS), a Seattle nonprofit organization that promotes neighborhood support groups for parents of infants and toddlers, will hold its seventh annual benefit luncheon Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m. at Meydenbauer Center, 11100 N.E. Sixth Street.
PEPS will introduce its five-year Campaign for the Future of Families, an initiative to address the changing needs and identities of families.
There is no fee for the luncheon, which is open to the public, but voluntary contributions are requested.
Last year, PEPS organized 161 support groups serving 2,307 families throughout King County. By providing information and support to parents of infants and young children, it aims to break the cycle of isolation and reduce child abuse and neglect.
