TACOMA — Three people were killed when an SUV struck a bucket truck in Tacoma.

Police are investigating the wreck that happened about 10:45 a.m. Wednesday. Tacoma Fire spokesman Joe Meinecke told The News Tribune that two people inside the SUV were killed immediately, and a third occupant died after being taken to an area hospital.

A worker in the bucket truck suffered minor injuries and is in stable condition. A co-worker said the man complained of a hurt hip.
