Quartertwenty’s Giddyup stool isn’t just a beautiful and functional piece of furniture. It’s also a clever use of resources from the Portland-based maker.

The extra pieces of steel from the cutouts in the base of the stool become two additional products: Wallstirrups shelf brackets and Knucklehead bottle openers (shown left). The company is committed to minimizing waste and using leftover materials in its design and fabrication.

The stool is a handy piece to have as extra seating or a side table. And it’s customizable, with different widths, woods and finishes available.
