Nine finds to pamper your pooch this holiday season.

Pets are people, too — at least when it comes to holiday gifts.

More than half of dog owners buy their pets gifts for Christmas or Hanukkah, according to the American Pet Products Association, an industry trade group.

Here are some ideas for including your pooch in the gift-giving fun.

Toys

Flatties — flat chew toys that sometimes include squeakers — are a popular toy, says Mardi Larson, a spokeswoman for PetSmart. For the holidays, the company has some with Christmas motifs, like the Pet Holiday Mouse Flattie Dog Toy ($3 at petsmart.com).

“Pets just love to destroy their toys. Flatties are safe because they have no stuffing,” Larson says.

Another heavy-chewer option is Outward Hound’s Invicibles Snake ($13–$25 at outwardhound.com), which has reinforced double-layer seams, a tough inner lining and a squeaker that keeps going, even if punctured.

Beds and bedding

A pet’s bed is often a part of your home décor, so it might be worthwhile to splurge. It’s kind of a gift for you, too, after all.

Oregon company Pendleton’s Dog Beds ($119–$169 at pendleton-usa.com) come in heritage plaids that add nicely to a cabin-chic décor theme.

Both elegant and whimsical, P.L.A.Y.’s Mustache Bed ($85–$179 at petplay.com) will spark smiles with its bright yellow mustaches and puppy paws.

Oprah chose the Charles Fradin Home Customizable Pet Blanket ($395 at amazon.com) as one of her Favorite Things this year. It’s a 60-by-54-inch, micro-fleece throw printed with an original hand-drawn image of your pet.

Clothes

PetSmart sells holiday-themed accessories for all of your animal friends, from tiny elf looks for Guinea pigs to reindeer costumes for dogs.

For Fifi, pick up the Martha Stewart Pets Holiday Scarf Sweater Dress ($5 at petsmart.com), an impossibly cute piece that mixes Fair Isle print, pom-poms and a little flared skirt.

For humans

Give your animal-loving human a Custom Pet Pillow ($145 at uncommongoods.com), made in Brooklyn, N.Y., from your favorite photo. All animals are welcome.

Or opt for a throw, such as Original Territory Brand’s Fleece Blanket ($20 at target.com), which measures 30-by-40-inches and reads: “Naps are Better with a Dog.”

Get matchy with a FriendshipCollar set ($25–$35 at friendshipcollar.com) that includes a matching collar for pet and bracelet for the human in a range of fun and trendy patterns and colors.
