What do you do? I’m in charge of shipping/receiving, odd jobs and comic relief for Barsuk Records, an independent Seattle record label that’s worked with Menomena, Death Cab for Cutie, Phantogram, Nada Surf and David Bazan to name a few.

Best part of the job or the best thing that’s happened on the job? Working in music with some of my favorite bands barely feels like work. My “I wish I didn’t have to go to work this morning” attitude is now at an all-time low — under 2 percent. Not bad.

How long have you been doing that? Almost 4 years.

How did you get that job? I got my foot in the door while working another great music-related job at Sonic Boom Records.

How does someone else get a job like yours? Follow what interests you and keep plenty of luck charms.
What would surprise people about the job? I represented Barsuk in Top Pot Donuts’ annual donut-eating contest and came in second!
