Occupation:  Administrative manager/Interfaith Association of Northwest Washington

Car’s make and model: 1969 Chevy Camaro

“I love my car because …  it was restored by my husband Mike about 18 years ago from a rusty, dented shell of a Camaro into what you see today. All the work was done in a two-car garage, including the paint job. It took about three years for it to be drivable. It needed interior, carpet, floor panels, trunk panel, body panels, engine, wheels, transmission, exhaust, gas tank, paint, and pretty much everything to put it back together! My favorite color is purple, so it has a purple block, purple hoses and many other purple parts to make it the “perfect” Purple ‘69 Camaro that I love to drive every chance I get! It has been in two music videos, a Flex-a-lite installation video (aluminum radiator and fan combo), a prom, a wedding (took bride and groom from wedding to reception), parades, and many events and contests. It won first prize in a burnout competition.”
