Rant & Raves from around town, including a driver in need of a jump and a frustrated concertgoer.
Rave To the person who found my ballot and mailed it after it fell out of my car and I couldn’t find it once I realized it was lost. I was so worried that I couldn’t vote in this election. I emailed Voter Services and they said they had received it, so someone picked it up and dropped it in a mailbox. Thank you!
Rant and Rave Huge rant to the obnoxious “fan” at the Sounders FC game yelling rude and vulgar insults to players on both teams and the refs. Your foul language at the top of your lungs with kids all around was beyond inappropriate. Big rave to Sounders and stadium personnel who noticed you (how could anyone not?), gave you two warnings (you unsurprisingly protested your innocence) then escorted you out. Stay home next time and yell at the television.
Rave To the young sous-chef who approached my family while we were trying to figure out the parking-lot pay machine and gave us his parking voucher that was good for the rest of the day! We were visiting from Oak Harbor and people like you make us want to head to the big city more often. Thank you, kind sir!
Rant To the insensitive clods who stole my pumpkins off my porch. You put the creepiness into Halloween, coming up the stairs right to the front door of my house.

Rave To a knight in shining armor — actually, a pickup that was a little shiny — who saw that my car wouldn’t start in a store parking lot, drove up next to me, got his jumper cables and offered a jump. I didn’t catch his name, but what a hero!
Rant To people who use their phones to take photos, film and text during concerts. At a Benaroya Hall concert people took photos and videos throughout the concert throughout the hall, it was so distracting and annoying. What happened to the announcement about no flash cameras and taping? And can’t people take a break from their phones to focus on the entertainment and show good manners to those around them and to the performers?
