Craft: How to create a three-dimensional display of family photos for a picture-perfect table centerpiece.
Few holidays inspire more photo-taking than Easter. The combination of dressing up (in your Sunday-go-to-church clothes) and Easter baskets filled with colored eggs and chocolate bunnies is a good start. Add the fun of hunting for Easter eggs in weather that has turned nice, with flowers that are beginning to bloom, and you are looking at great photo opportunities.
I have numerous photos of family members wearing Easter corsages and holding colorful Easter baskets. If you have Easter photos, one way to showcase them is in a three-dimensional display that makes a perfect table centerpiece for spring.
Begin with a large circle. I used a large dinner plate as a pattern to help trace a 10-inch circle out of green-and-white dotted paper. Make four of these circles.
Assembly is simple. Fold each circle into fourths, and then follow the fold lines to cut out one-quarter of the circle — except for a 1-inch tab on one edge of the cut line. Use the tab to fasten the two ends together and fold the bottom section in half in order to create one-fourth of the display.

Repeat this process with the other three circles, then fasten the back of one section to the front of the next section in order to connect all of the folded circles into one book.
Once the book construction is complete, it’s fun to decorate the pages with photos and Easter-themed stickers, leaving room to add the journaling that tells the story behind the photos.
It’s important to add a paper clip to the front cover that will be used to hold the front and back covers together when the book is fully opened. Colored clips are available in several different shapes from any office-supply store.
This book folds flat for storing or mailing, but becomes fully dimensional when opened for an egg-citing Easter display.
