It’s a purrfectly good time of year for those that love cats. Here’s a roundup of events and programs including the Average Joe Cat Show (check out the photo contest), Fabulous Felines adoption event and a kitten shower.
Feline Fridays: Every Friday, Kitsap Humane Society, 9167 Dickey Road N.W., Silverdale. Adoption fees are dropped for cats 1 year and older at the shelter. There is a $30 microchip ID fee.
Fabulous Felines: Noon-3 p.m. April 13, Belltown Community Center, 415 Bell St., Seattle. This Seattle Animal Shelter adoption event showcases cats and kittens that are ready to move from foster care to forever homes. Adoption prices ($45-$135 plus applicable license fees) include initial vaccinations, deworming, testing for feline leukemia, microchip ID and spaying or neutering.
Kitten Shower and Foster Program Open House: 1 p.m. April 20, Kitsap Humane Society, 9167 Dickey Road N.W., Silverdale. Visit Kitsap Humane’s Training Center to learn about the kitten foster program and how to care for a kitten. There will be refreshments, games and contests.
