– Four hot dogs, cooked
– Four slices of red pepper, cut into eight fingernail-shaped pieces
1 tablespoon cream cheese
– A lettuce leaf
– 1 tablespoon ketchup


1. Cut hot dogs in half crosswise. At the tips, cut out small wedges to fit in “fingernails.”


2. Spread cream cheese on back of red pepper pieces and adhere to tips of hot dogs.


3. About half an inch from the cut end, use a butter knife to make three slits for “knuckles.” Dip cut ends into ketchup. Serve on a lettuce leaf with a stack of toothpicks.
