Ready or not here they come: The holidays are almost upon us. Some of you are already sharpening knives, perusing recipes, making lists.

Others may be fast approaching panic mode, having so far failed to wangle an invitation to someone else’s house or been unable to convince their family to try a restaurant this year.

For the culinarily challenged, one solution is to order a fully cooked holiday meal-to-go. Area markets, restaurants, specialty food shops and caterers offer packages that range from traditional to trendy, with options for vegetarians and carb-counters as well.
