Storm’s Breanna Stewart has sprained ligament in right knee, says surgery isn’t required

Breanna Stewart, rookie for the Seattle Storm, was the WNBA’s first overall draft pick. She is a highly decorated player and just graduated from the University of Connecticut, a four-time NCAA national champion.

Storm standout Breanna Stewart is returning to the United States from China to rehab a sprained posterior cruciate ligament in her right knee. Stewart, last season’s rookie of the year, injured the knee last week while playing in the Chinese league.
