Readers react to Misha Berson's review of the American Idols Live
Readers react to Misha Berson's review of the American Idols Live concert in Tacoma, plus her advance interview with Idol David Cook.
It was a big "American Idol" week for Seattle Times theater critic (and "Idol" fan) Misha Berson, who wrote " 'Idol' moments with winner David Cook (NWLife, July 8), a Q&A with Cook," and "David, David! 'Idol' guys deliver," a review of the Tacoma Dome show in NWLife on July 14. She got a slew of response on both stories. This note from Monique, of Toronto, gives the flavor of most of them.
Dear Misha Berson:
I would just like to say thank you for the insightful David Cook article. " 'Idol' moments with winner David Cook" is by far the most informative Cook interview since his win ... period. I enjoyed learning so many new facts about the man himself; you actually asked original questions that got to reveal more layers of his personality to his fans.
I also enjoyed that you were one of the very few journalists who didn't hound David about his so-called "surprise" or "upset" win — or try to pry into his romantic personal life.
I hope in the future you will be able to interview David again. I know I would love to read it.
Monique, Toronto, Canada
