Pull on your boots and head to the wetlands at Carkeek Park’s Wetland Wild Walk Saturday. Volunteer naturalists lead the two-hour walk to explore the ponds, plants, creeks, bugs and birds of the wetlands and how people can help them continue to thrive. The walk is for adults and families with children ages 7 and older and is free. Meet at 10 a.m. at Carkeek Park’s model airplane field parking lot, through the main entrance, 950 N.W. Carkeek Park Road, down the Loop Road to the beach, on the right; call to preregister, 206-386-4236.
