The last time I heard the scintillating, smart Dutch saxophonist Tineke Postma — at the Bimhuis, in Amsterdam — she seemed to have devoured Wayne Shorter whole, while still sounding very much like her own quirky self. The 34-year-old tyro (pictured) continues to grow. She appears twice in the Seattle area as part of the Earshot Jazz Spring Series, first at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Seattle Art Museum, 1300 First Ave., Seattle; free (206-654-3100 or, then on a double bill with another estimable young saxophone gal, Grace Kelly, at 8 p.m. May 11 at the Kirkland Performance Center, 350 Kirkland Ave., Kirkland; $35 (425-828-0422 or
